Your Voice Matters: How to Write a Letter to the Editor
Your perspective matters more than any campaign ad. When you share why you’re supporting our vision for a more resilient Wasco County, you’re helping your neighbors see the real-world impact of local leadership.
Writing a letter is simple, and our local news teams at CCCNews and Columbia Gorge News love hearing from the community. Here’s how to get started:
3 Tips for a Great Letter
Keep it Personal: You don’t need to be a political expert. Just share a quick story about why you trust Lisa—maybe it was her help at the Clerk’s office, her work on the Pine Hollow boat ramps, or her roots in Tygh Valley.
Be Brief: Aim for 150–250 words. Short, heartfelt letters are more likely to be published and read!
Include Your Details: The newspapers need your full name, address, and phone number just to verify who you are (they won’t publish your private info).
